Pitch Night (our informal Demo Day event) is a public event for 150+ startup lovers to view our most recent program startups before they take flight on their own in the U.S. (the startups in our program are foreign founded). Guests/Attendees will be the first to see the 11 world-class startup pitches, meet the Fleet, and connect with other entrepreneurs/founders/investors/mentors.

Time for them to spread their fledgling wings and take flight June 1st, 2017 from 6pm - 9pm at our home base in PARISOMA.
Each company will have 3 minutes to present (or should we say, impress) you with what their company is all about. They'll talk about their journey, their projects, and how they plan to make the world a better place, all thanks to their passion, purpose, and technology.
This unique event is also an opportunity to gather our esteemed members of The Refiners Community to spend an unforgetful moment together. You're the lifeblood of what we and the startups have accomplished over the last 3 months in our accelerator program.

Mike Johnston began studying the drums at the age of 5. He spent the next fifteen years studying privately with drumming legendsPete Magadini, Steve Ferrone, and Will Kennedy.
At the age of 21 he received his first major label record deal with his band Simon Says and spent the next 5 years touring the world. He received a gold record for his contributions to the Varsity Blues soundtrack and has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman as well as on MTV's Fashionably Loud. Mike has also toured with Warner Brothers Recording artists Filter.
In 2016 Mike won the Modern Drummer Readers Poll award for Clinician/Educator of the Year.
Clara will present her last book "Social Business Imperative" and makes the case for why social media and digital have become too important and too strategic for organization leaders to completely delegate.
Clara Shih is CEO and founder of Hearsay Social, the complete client engagement solution that empowers salespeople to reach out to clients at the right time with the right message while staying in compliance with industry regulations. A pioneer in the social media industry, Clara developed the first social business application in 2007 and subsequently authored the New York Times-featured best-seller, The Facebook Era. Her latest book, The Social Business Imperative: Adapting Your Business Model to the Always-Connected Customer, was released in 2016.

Before founding CMX, Spinks cofounded Feast (acquired) and BlogDash, has built community for Zaarly, LeWeb, and Udemy, and has been consulted by hundreds of leading startups and brands on their community strategy. With the CMX team, he spends every day working to study and advance the community industry, and to give community professionals the opportunity to thrive. He's also really good at growing hair.
